A US tourist from California died from a heart attack after taking part in adventure sports in the Costa Azul canyon in northwest Mexico, local officials said.The 51-year-old, Randy Newberry from Sacramento, said he felt ill before sitting down in a rest area and passing out, a state police report said.Paramedics, who arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, were unable to revive him, said Yesenia Covarrubias, spokeswoman for the state prosecutor’s office.

Newberry had been on vacation with his wife Lory at the popular Los Cabos tourist resort in Baja California, a peninsula in northwest Mexico.
