They moved their business into the their store on Walsingham Road 10 years ago.Things have changed over that decade for the LeVines, their customers and the environment.“The evolution of technologies brought us sports that are easier and safer,” LeVine said, “We offer kite surfing which has gotten much safer with more wind range and increased performance.”“Paddle boards are now lighter, better-looking, way faster and prices have come down on paddleboards and kayaks,” he added.The fact that none of these sports involves a gas-powered boat is no coincidence.“Green is in,” LeVine said. With gas at 4 bucks a gallon even wakeboarding has gone boatless. McCormick’s, a cable wakeboarding park just outside of Tampa, in Seffner runs riders around the lake on cables instead of towing them behind boats. “These (wake parks) are popular in Europe and are catching on in the U.S.” LeVine said.

Fishing at this resort space, has been a widespread and quite common activity for a very long time. Its warm waters are the perfect living climate for the abundant Red Merlin and Yellow Fin Tuna that inhabit it. Craft fishing (as opposed to commercial fishing) is not found at the same beach, which is reserved for bathers; but you can do a bit of shore-side fishing by purchasing some fishing equipment from the vendor stalls that are located in various spots adjoining the beaches.

A US tourist from California died from a heart attack after taking part in adventure sports in the Costa Azul canyon in northwest Mexico, local officials said.The 51-year-old, Randy Newberry from Sacramento, said he felt ill before sitting down in a rest area and passing out, a state police report said.Paramedics, who arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, were unable to revive him, said Yesenia Covarrubias, spokeswoman for the state prosecutor’s office.

Newberry had been on vacation with his wife Lory at the popular Los Cabos tourist resort in Baja California, a peninsula in northwest Mexico.
